We’ve made our way through Splatoon 3 and found the best weapons for you guys.
Splatoon 3 it stands out from the shooting competition mainly because of its special mechanics, such as coloring the battlefield, dipping in ink, or filling the tanks with ink. Nintendo also goes its own way with weapons, at least in part, and offers some exotic alternatives to the classics of the genre.
Each style and game mode has different requirements, and the different types of weapons reflect this well. While there is no one weapon that dominates all the others, there are some recommended loadouts that you can use to add some color to your matches.
Daftar Isi
Best Off-Roader: ’85 N-ZAP
- secondary weapon: Sticky Bomb
- special weapon: potion tank
- Special Weapon Points: 200p
What makes the weapon particularly good: The N-ZAP ’85 is based on the design of the Zapper controller for the NES and was already extremely popular in its predecessor. The handy pistol convinces with a good combination of rate of fire, penetration power and range and is therefore suitable for most situations. You can color areas in a very short time and you are also a dangerous opponent in duels. The sticky bomb is also one of the most effective secondary weapons on board.
Alternative: Hero Weapon Replica
This weapon is similar to the N-ZAP’85: Completing Splatoon 3 Solo Mode will reward you with the Hero Weapon Replica. It has similar strengths to the N-ZAP ’85 and comes with the powerful Trizooka as a special weapon.
Don’t make a mess: Splatling
- secondary weapon: sprinklers
- special weapon: shower wave
- Special Weapon Points: 200p
What makes the weapon particularly good: Inking is the game-changing feature of Splatoon 3. In Territory Wars, the team that inked the most of the map wins, and inked areas offer faster movement, the chance to reload, and more tactical options. The Splatling has to reload briefly, but then it’s undefeated when it comes to rate of fire. In no time at all, you can color entire areas, and if you get between a splash and your target, you’ll quickly meet the respawn screen.
Alternative: MG Airbrush
This weapon is similar to the Splatling: The Airbrush MG also relies on a high rate of fire, but plays a bit more familiarly than the Splatling. You don’t have to charge it first, you can hold it directly. The special weapon shark hammer compensates for the fairly weak penetration power.
To all the ink samurai: splatana wipers
- secondary weapon: torpedo
- special weapon: ultra seal
- Special Weapon Points: 180p
What makes the weapon particularly good: With the Splatanas, Nintendo has introduced a new type of weapon that is aimed squarely at all fans of close combat. Controlling the sword isn’t easy, but in capable hands, the carnage of color can happen quickly. You can choose between fast but weaker punches and precise hits. Tint power is limited, allowing Splatana to shine, especially in ranked mode.
Alternative: calligrapher
This weapon is similar to the splatana wiper: Calligrapher is also designed for direct melee combat, but can also be used quite well for coloring. You can use it as a roller while holding the button down and color the area while holding the brush in front of you. However, in terms of damage, it is slightly inferior to the Splatana.
For longer distances: Klotzer 14-A
- secondary weapon: robot bomb
- special weapon: howler buoy 5.1
- Special Weapon Points: 200p
What makes the weapon particularly good: Snipers have a hard time in Splatoon 3. Distances are generally quite short and can be covered quickly. Also, precision weapons must first be briefly charged. While they can deal heavy damage with single shots, they are difficult to use. The Klotzer 14-A is still best suited here thanks to the short charge time.
Alternative: Tri Stringer
This weapon is similar to the Klotzer 14-A: With the Stringer, bows have also come to Splatoon. They also have to briefly charge up and then fire three projectiles. Of course, if you hit, the damage is devastating, but there’s also helpful help if you miss. The projectiles explode after a short time and can at least deal some area damage. The same applies here: Difficult to use and not for beginners.
They see me roll: Flex Roller
- secondary weapon: refill ink
- special weapon: Swarm missiles
- Special Weapon Points: 200p
What makes the weapon particularly good: The roller class is probably the most special in Splatoon 3. You swing around huge paint rollers and just roll over opponents. The Flex-Roller is noted for its long range and can be used similar to a shotgun. The great strength of the class is, of course, the coloring speed and the irresistible melee combat.
Alternative: blob roller
This weapon is similar to the Flex Roller: With scooters it depends a lot on your needs and your feelings with the respective weapon. The smudge roller is slightly lighter and can also be unlocked sooner. Just try out the different scooters and then decide which one is your favourite.
Run and Gun: Quadhopper Noir
- secondary weapon: robot bomb
- special weapon: shark hammer
- Special Weapon Points: 200p
What makes the weapon particularly good: Dual weapons make a comeback in Splatoon 3 with a special effect. While you normally fire both weapons at a wide range, you can make a dodge roll while firing. Immediately after, his rate of fire briefly increases and his sight narrows. The skill ceiling is pretty high here, but if you like fast speeds and unique gameplay, you’ll be happy here. The Quadhopper Noir offers great range and maneuverability.
Alternative: Blob Doppler
This weapon is similar to the Quadhopper Noir: Stain Replicators are pretty much the standard variant with slightly lower fire rate and mobility, but higher damage. They’re a great start to the class, and the Crab Shell special weapon is original and fun.
Good across the board – long distance blaster
- secondary weapon: Sticky Bomb
- special weapon: shower wave
- Special Weapon Points: 200p
What makes the weapon particularly good: With blasters you can deal extremely high damage and thanks to the explosion you can take out multiple targets at once. The long distance blaster has the best range in its class. With good positioning, you can take down an entire team. However, the rate of fire is particularly low, so each shot must hit the target.
Alternative: Blasters
This weapon is similar to the long range blaster.: The classic blaster is the best alternative here. The damage remains the same, but the range is significantly more limited. But you can shoot more often, which can be a huge advantage, especially in tight matches.
